- Notes: Depicts the Kyoto home and studio of celebrated ceramic artist Kawai Kanjirō (河井寬次郎, 1890-1966). Designed by Kawai and completed in 1937, the building combined his family residence with workshops and a climbing kiln. Its rooms remain filled with ceramics, furniture, wood carvings & objects created or collected by the artist, and the property is now preserved as the Kawai Kanjirō Memorial Museum. Morimura presents the interior as a stylised cutaway, bringing together the domestic rooms, workshop spaces and objects that shaped Kawai’s everyday life.
