    Modern | Sōsaku Hanga Etching/Aquatint

A fabulous print by Koichi Sakamoto: 金陽 (Golden Sunlight) (No.1). A glowing golden sun hangs low over a quiet snow-covered village, casting warmth across a striking red winter sky. Thatched rooftops slope under the weight of snow, while the fine web of bare trees rises in silhouette against the vivid background. Sakamoto’s precise shading and atmospheric gradation evoke the hush of late afternoon - a beautiful moment of light and stillness. 🌅❄️🏘️
