Hodaka Yoshida’s 1973 woodblock print “星座風景より-牡牛座” (LANDSCAPE - TAURUS) features a reclining woman beside a stylised bull in the foreground. Beyond them, a mountain of interwoven female busts, floral, and sculptural forms rises, while a herd of bulls gathers beneath. A banded horizon leads to a seamless gradiated sky of bokashi inks, which crowns the scene - an allegory of Taurus’s earthy strength and cosmic cycles. 🐂🌄.
