Hideshi Yoshida - インスマスを覆う影 (The Shadow Over Innsmouth)
Contemporary Wood-Engraving
Drawing on H.P. Lovecraft’s classic “The Shadow over Innsmouth,” this wood-engraving captures the eerie atmosphere of a town haunted by its human-fish hybrid inhabitants. Yoshida’s precise line work and rich, inky tones convey depth and mystery, while the intricate hand-carved details on box and lemonwood blocks reveal themselves only up close. 📖🐟✨
